Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday (and Saturday) Worship on April 8/9 at our regular worship times, Saturday nights at 5 p.m., and Sunday morning at 8:30 & 11 AM. On Wednesday, a Holy Healing Service will be held as the final midweek Lenten theme We Are Apostolic is also explored.

The Great Three Days (known as Triduum) begins on Maundy Thursday, as we will have Worship Services at Noon & 6:30 PM. Included in the service will be a special foot washing, sermon, Holy Communion, First Communion for some of our young members, and the stripping of the altar (6:30 PM only). Good Friday Services will also be held at Noon and 6:30 PM, as a Tenebrae Service featuring the Seven Last Words of Christ will be the focus of our Worship. Easter Vigil service will be held at 5 PM on Saturday at our regular weekend worship time, as we gather in the Fellowship Hall, process through our upper level to remember God's people wondering in the desert, the lighting of candles, reading of Scripture, baptism and welcoming of new members, and celebration of the Lord's Supper. Easter Sunday Worship services will be held at 8:30 & 11 AM, with a fellowship hour in between.

You are invited and welcome to celebrate this Holy Week with us at St. John's Lutheran Church, Highway 81 & Benjamin Avenue in Norfolk.
