As the ELVPH meter moves deeper into the red, it has been our unfortunate decision to move away from communion during worship and refrain from enjoying coffee & donuts during Fellowship Hour.  This is all being done in an attempt to keep everyone a bit safer.  Masks will also be required for everyone while in church.  We will continue to monitor the news coming from the Health Department and will let you all know of any additional changes.

After an evaluation of the COVID-19 health restrictions, it has been determined by the Nebraska Synod of the ELCA that worship services shall remain cancelled until May 11.  Until that time, we will meet together on facebook live each Sunday morning for worship at 8:30 AM.  Thank you to the very small and highly talented group that brings worship to us in our homes at that time:  Ron Lofgren (Majesty Choir director/vocalist), Steve Reinke (organist), John Skogstoe (videographer/sound guru), and Pastor Randy (front and center).  We are grateful for their commitment to St. John's, especially during Holy Week when we would be worshipping in bulk to celebrate our Lord's resurrection.  Thank you!!!

In compliance with the recent precautions being taken to protect from Coronavirus, we will be making a few changes here at worship.  Along with various different options to sharing the peace, we will also move away from communion for a few weeks.  Offering can be placed in the plates which will be in the back of the sanctuary.  When the immediate health threat passes, we will return to our usual worship practices.

The CREATE WITH DOUGH event, scheduled for Sunday, March 15, at noon has been cancelled.  In keeping with recent group activity cancellations in the area, we will reschedule the event at a later time.  We greatly appreciate the donations of the bread machines!  Watch for future updates.
